Scope 3 GHG emissions – Energy and Industry ( E & I ) emissions are those induced by human activities that do not originate from
living organisms or biological processes . For example : production of fertilisers ( and other inputs ) , tractor fuel consumption .
Scope 3 GHG emissions All indirect GHG emissions ( not included in Scope 2 GHG emissions ) that occur in the value chain of the reporting undertaking , including both upstream and
downstream emissions . Scope 3 GHG emissions can be broken down into different categories according to the GHG Protocol including : purchased goods and
services ( 3 . 1 ) , upstream ( 3 . 4 ) and downstream ( 3 . 9 ) , transportation and distribution , and processing of sold products ( 3 . 10 ) .
Scope 3 FLAG It refers to the Science - Based Targets initiative ( SBTi ) for the Forest , Land , and Agriculture ( FLAG ) sector . It includes the biogenic emissions caused
by living organisms or biological processes that do not originate from fossil sources . Examples : spreading fertiliser on crops , changes in land use , etc .
