OUR PERFORMANCE
This year , 91 % of barley was sourced
from the same country where it was
malted , matching last year ’ s performance
and ref lecting the stability of our grower
base . Maintaining this high level of
domestic sourcing is a direct result of
agronomic excellence and continued
engagement with farmers .
To sustain and strengthen this
sourcing base , we continue to :
• Build long - term
relationships
with farmers in every region
• Advance varietal
development and
large - scale field
testing programmes
that ensure local compatibility and
performance
• Expand training and
capacity - building
initiatives across our agricultural
network to support farmers in
improving yields , quality and
sustainable practices
As far as possible ,
malthouses are
strategically located
near barley producers ,
customer factories and
key transport routes .
Our agronomy experts
support farmers at every
stage , from choosing
the best barley varieties
to improving soil health ,
managing seasonal
risks and ensuring each
harvest meets the highest
standards .
By keeping production
local , we support national
and regional economies
and signif icantly reduce
transport - related
emissions .
