OUR APPROACH
AGRONOMIC
EXPERTISE
Our strength lies in our agronomic
expertise and the closeness of our
grower relationships . Preparation
begins years ahead of operations , as our
agronomy teams work alongside growers
to establish trust , share expertise and
build the strong local supply chains that
our business depends on .
This global agronomy network provides
direct , hands - on support to thousands of
growers by advising on seed varieties and
crop rotation , supplying certif ied seed and
helping implement traceable , sustainable
practices . With a presence in every
major malting region of the world , we are
uniquely positioned to conduct thousands
of f ield trials in micro - plots every year .
These trials enable us to pinpoint the
best barley varieties for specif ic soil and
climate conditions and then scale them
so that farmers can deliver the quality and
quantity our customers rely on .
Through partnerships across the InVivo
Group , including Souff let Agriculture ,
Scotgrain ( United Kingdom ) and
Cerfoly ( Argentina ) , we integrate
agronomy , sourcing and collection
to secure high - quality barley from f ield
to malthouse .
SUSTAINABLE
BARLEY
Our sustainable barley strategy is
based on four priorities :
• Varietal selection :
We select and deploy barley varieties
adapted to local soils and climate
risks , balancing agronomy , quality and
resilience .
• Sustainable practices :
We promote regenerative agriculture
in line with the Sustainable Agriculture
Initiative ’ s ( SAI ) ‘ Regenerating
Together Framework ’ . Services
include coaching and f ield support
to improve soil health , biodiversity ,
water outcomes and reducing on - farm
emissions .
• Local sourcing :
We strengthen traceable , country - level
supply chains and rural economies .
• Technology :
We use digital tools to aid yield
estimation , agronomic data collection
and monitoring , and the monitoring
and measurement of carbon .
The future of malt
depends on healthy soils ,
resilient ecosystems
and thriving farming
communities . What sets
us apart is the way we
work with farmers , not
just as suppliers , but as
partners in sustainability .
Together , we promote the
sustainable production of
local barley that reduces
emissions , safeguards
ecosystems and builds
relationships with farming
communities .
Souff let Malt plays a pioneering
role within InVivo Group , testing
and scaling solutions that
shape the future of sustainable
agriculture and food systems .
From regenerative sourcing to
renewable energy and next -
generation malthouses , it creates
validated pathways that support
the Group ’ s investment in the
global agri - transition .
